If you've never lived through a trauma, it's hard to truly understand the experience. I’ve studied the mountain of Trauma & PTSD for over 10 years, and climbed that mountain myself (more than once).
Trauma is a deeply distressing experience (physical, emotional, mental), and PTSD is how we cope with the aftermath. This category covers what I've learned helping those with traumatic experiences, and what strategies I've used to help them. I also talk about my own experience overcoming PTSD after my lymphoma diagnosis in 2013.
