Hello readers,
This will be brief, as I am preparing to get on a plane to fly down to LA for a quick trip, but I wanted to let those of you located around Los Angeles know that tomorrow I will be speaking at UCLA at psychiatry Grand Rounds.
The talk with be TED-style and is titled, “Psychiatry, Love, and the Healing Power of Connection.” It will be geared toward physicians and other healthcare providers but is open to the public. I will be speaking about my own cancer experience and how that has demonstrated to me the importance of love and compassion in the doctor-patient relationship.
Details are as follows:
Tuesday, September 9
11am-12pm
Louis Jolyon West Auditorium, C8-183
Semel Institute for Neuroscience
760 Westwood Plaza

I hope to see you there! And I will be recording the talk and uploading it to my blog for those who are interested but can’t make it.
