Sorry everyone, I can’t write today. I’m too tired, I’m too tired, I’m too tired.
I’ll be back when I can.

Hang in there, Elana and let the energy from your loved ones and all of us who are reading your words buoy you and carry you when you are too tired. You are entitled to be too tired. You are a gift. Rest and heal.
I am thrilled you are taking the space you need for caring for Elana! Rest well and come back to it when you have extra to share…we totally understand and support you.
Take a breather, lovely lady! <3 Looking forward to hearing from you whenever you are feeling up to writing a post. Is there an address where you can receive mail from blog friends?
It’s hard to be the patient and have patience! The fatigue is unbearable and frustrating at times. Just listen to your body and rest. Just like a baby needs to sleep in ir order to grow we need to sleep in order for our bodies to heal. Just give in to it and don’t fight it. This to shall pass. Be kind to yourself and just breathe
Thanks Elana, you’re a hero for writing this and letting us know! My thoughts are with you as you rest and recover. I have much gratitude for your strength…
That was writing. And poignant. Beautiful. Make more words when you feel it. I, we, will be thrilled when you can, and caring about you no matter what you write or don’t.
Thank you for thinking of us, as always. And next time you feel like you “should” do something but don’t really feel up to it, just say f*ck it, take a nap instead (if you can), and know that we are right there with you. You don’t even have to get online. No expectations. Just you. Sending virtual hugs.
Sorry you are not feeling well. I hope you can feel comfort in knowing there is a lot of positive energy flowing to you. Warmest wishes and much love to you.
I think several of us here know that feeling. Mine was the worst when I had to sit down to brush my teeth. Just too tired. Be good to yourself so your body (and mind and spirit) can heal. It’s a long road but I promise you will feel like skipping when it’s over. Take care and God bless you.
Feel better and rest. I hope the prayers and loving support of your family, friends, and blog readers give you some sense of how much people care. We all send healing thoughts your way. God bless and take care of yourself.
I so get it! I have been there, and it is not easy. My boss was unsympathetic and treated my “tiredness” as laziness. So sad. Know that you are doing the most important work you can do right now-healing your body. WE miss you, but totally understand.
I wish there was a ‘Like’ Button on here. I would hit that for your comments quite often. You seem like a cool friend of Elana’s 🙂 So happy she has you!
Know that feeling all too well. You don’t need to “entertain” us or do anything for anyone other than yourself. We are big people and can take care of ourselves…. don’t you dare be sorry for anything. You need to do what your body is calling for even if at times it may seem selfish or uncaring to you…. which it is NOT! We all understand and are with you. We are sending you love to make you smile, support to hold you up when you need it, hugs to lift your spirits, sunshine to warm your face, and I personally am making silly faces at the computer as I type this to make you laugh. Did it work????????? hahaha Smile sweet lady, it will get better, I promise. As it has been said, “God didn’t say it would be easy, he said it would be worth it” and it really is.
Dear Elana, So glad to hear you are honoring your body’s needs. Sending lots of good thoughts your way and looking forward to hearing from you when you feel better. <3!
Dear Elana, These words have pierced through …. They say sometimes we don’t need words to communicate n that’s where we ve reached with you Elana…. feel for you….my prayers for you to heal soon.
Dear Elana, Chemo sucks! Sorry to hear you are so tired also. All my good thoughts go out to you in hopes that our collective good Karma heals you very fast.
Elana, we are all very grateful simply for you allowing us to be here, with you. And as you spoke of your tiredness on three levels, I will speak on three levels as well: be filled with strength and healing, be filled with strength and healing, be filled with strength and healing. Asi sea. Rest, kiddo. We will watch over you 🙂
How wonderful of you to post about your tiredness anyway just so we faithful readers know. I look forward to your posts. I worry when they aren’t there. You are in my prayers. And thank you for such a beautiful, from the heart, blog. It’s truly inspiring and beautiful.
It’s OK, It’s OK, and it’s gonna be OK! Hang in there Elana. It’s very hard to remember what normal feels like when you are going through this. Even a week of feeling horrible is enough to allow that thought “Maybe this is it and I’m never going to feel like myself again”. Then, you come out of it a week or so later and it’s “Oh, I can feel okay; better than okay; almost normal- ” I am finally feeling ok and about to start another round on Friday. If your body wants to rest, listen. There will be other days when you will feel like doing something else. Love, Arlette
Good for you for taking the week off, and thank you. As always, your message is filled with inspiration for me, even amidst your exhaustion. I am so often guilty of putting myself last when I feel I need to do something for others. And many of us, particularly women, are trained to suck it up in spite of our own fatigue.
Glad you communicated your feelings. Glad you are a role model in teaching me to take the time I need to prioritize my rest. And I hope you will recover swiftly from your illness and its treatment’s unfortunate consequences.
Sending you prayers for healing and many hugs. If you don’t feel up to writing perhaps someone close to you could let everyone know how you’re doing……?
Thought of you while I was at work today, wondered how you were doing. Hope each day gets a little better. Even when it hurts, try to smile… Sometimes that helps a little. 🙂
Don’t worry. a deadline passed to write and you couldn’t. that’s true human experience. fear not, the spark will come again soon to write, the passion ebbed now but will flow once again. this is time for your mind to rest and recover, before lighting a fire again. the fire still grows hot with embers, and will blaze hot again when new logs can be added.
Ditto to all above…praying for a pain-free body and mind along with a renewal of your energy for both! Even though your words and spirit are mind-blowing inspiring…we love you no matter what! So rest up little lady!
I wish you love, energy, warm thoughts, strenghth, faith, hope, courage, happy moments, rest, appetite, painlessness, dreams, the feeling of not being lonely.
